60 Pet Shop Miami needed an online storefront for a local pet shop expanding beyond its physical location. The experience had to support product discovery, cart and checkout flows, bilingual content, and the operational data already managed by Shopify.
Customers needed an easier way to find products and order online without losing the direct phone and WhatsApp contact associated with a neighborhood shop. The experience also needed to support pickup, local delivery, and shipping choices.
Shopify needed to remain the source of truth for product, inventory, cart, and checkout data. The customer-facing layer had to work across mobile and desktop, expose a sizable catalog clearly, and preserve bilingual content without duplicating commerce operations.
The project used a headless storefront so the customer-facing experience could stay lightweight and tailored to the local brand while Shopify remained responsible for products, inventory, cart state, and checkout. The content model also leaves room for localized copy and SEO metadata.
The storefront combines a React and Vite frontend with the Shopify Storefront API. It includes product browsing, search and filtering, cart state, checkout handoff, responsive layouts, bilingual content, and localized metadata for the shopping surfaces.
Product cards expose images, descriptions, variants, and availability from Shopify. Cart state supports quantity changes and checkout handoff through the Storefront API, while loading and empty states keep the interaction understandable on mobile.
The site includes email capture and contact entry points, structured product content, and responsive customer-facing pages. The content layer supports English and Spanish labels across the storefront and supporting information.
Shopify remains the source for catalog and order operations. The frontend consumes the Storefront API rather than duplicating product or inventory data, keeping the customer experience separate from the commerce administration surface.Public verification
Business outcomeThe online store supports product discovery, pickup, local delivery, shipping, and direct phone or WhatsApp contact.
We wanted an online store that made our products easier to find while preserving the personal service of a neighborhood pet shop. Alejandro organized the catalog by pet type, added product search and price filters, and created a straightforward shopping experience for pickup, local delivery, and shipping. Customers can shop online or contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp. The website now supports both sides of our business: convenient online ordering and the local relationship our customers value.

I owned the storefront architecture, React implementation, Shopify Storefront API integration, responsive product discovery, cart experience, and checkout handoff represented in this delivery. Keeping Shopify as the operational source separates ongoing catalog and order management from the custom customer-facing frontend.
The frontend uses React, TypeScript, and Vite. Shopify provides the Storefront API, catalog, cart, and checkout services. The implementation also uses responsive CSS, localized content, SEO metadata, and deployment tooling for the storefront hosting environment.
